People with a learning disability and an interest in attending the workshop can apply, via a social worker, community nurse or any other official body, but must have a supporting social worker or community nurse.

If a place is available, at least two trial days are set up. On completion of these, if the applicant is still interested and is suitable, an application form is submitted to the committee. If this is successful, the applicant is taken on firstly for a probationary period of three months.

The workshop is open Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 4 pm with an hour for lunch, people must provide their own packed lunch and moneys for refreshments.

Successful applicants will be expected to attend a minimum of three days a week. There will also be four weeks holiday (pro rata) to be arranged.
